Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The many child-friendly facilities in various corners of Malang City have made this City of Education once again win a proud achievement, namely the 2018 Child-Friendly City Award from the Indonesian Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection.

The award was presented directly by the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Yohana Yembise to the Head of the Malang City Planning, Research and Development Agency (Barenlitbang) Erik Setyo Santoso at the Dyandra Convention Hall Surabaya, Monday, July 23, 2018.
For this achievement, Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji said that the KLA award won by Malang City is the result of the government's commitment to continue to fulfill children's rights including in the fields of education, health, and also the provision of facilities and infrastructure such as children's playrooms.
"We will also continue to improve our services in handling children's problems," said Sutiaji, Tuesday (24/7).
He said, so far the indicators regarding the requirements to become a KLA have been met by Malang City. In fact, in the future it will be further improved with better facilities and various accesses for children to obtain their rights. "This achievement is a trigger for our enthusiasm to continue to do better," he said.
It should be noted that there are 117 regions that have received the predicate as Child-Friendly Cities in 2018. According to the Minister of PPPA RI, Yohana Yembese, this award was given so that districts/cities that have not received the title continue to make their best efforts, with the hope of being able to encourage families, communities and mass media in the region to better understand efforts to fulfill children's rights.
