Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division (Pangdivif)/Kostrad, Major General TNI Marga Taufiq and the Director of the Malang State Polytechnic (Polinema) Drs. Awan Setiawan, MMT, MM signed a memorandum of understanding (Memorandum of Understanding/MoU) about Basic Leadership Training (LDK) and National Insight at the AA Building, Polinema Head Office, Thursday (26/7).
With the signing of this MoU, Pangdivif 2/Kostrad will invite Polinema students to increase their awareness of the importance of defending the country through national defense exercises organized by the 2nd Kostrad Infantry Division.
The hope is that in the future, attitudes and behaviors of love for the homeland will be instilled which will ultimately increase the spirit of nationalism towards the nation and state in the younger generation.
This is in accordance with Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the TNI, Article 7 paragraph (2b) point 8, which states that the TNI's main task is to empower defense areas and their supporting forces early in accordance with the universal defense system.
Furthermore, Pangdivif 2/Kostrad said that the Basic Leadership Training (LDK) and national insight programs need to be provided to school and college students, because at that time they are most vulnerable to being influenced by deviant ideologies, such as radicalism or terrorism.
According to him, the Indonesian nation is currently being influenced by parties who want to create intolerance and want to replace the basic principles of the state. "It is our duty to fight against these individuals and maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, diversity and Pancasila and the 45 Constitution," said Major General Marga.
Meanwhile, the Director of Polinema, Awan Setiawan, said that national insight is a determination where the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, diversity and unity are the final principles of nationality in Indonesia.
According to him, if there is a degradation of national insight and it is left like that, then the destruction of the Indonesian nation is just around the corner.
Therefore, the Basic Leadership Training (LDK) and national insight program needs to involve elements of local government and education, so that the message to be conveyed in this program is right on target. (say/yon)
