Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – After obtaining the title of Child-Friendly City, Malang City will also establish itself as a city that is suitable for the elderly, because so far the level of concern of Malang City towards the elderly has been quite good.
The statement was made by Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji on the sidelines of his speech at the Gebyar Gymnastics Tera event for Malang City and Regency at the Mulyorejo Football Field, Jl Raya Mulyorejo, Sukun District, Sunday (29/7).
Sutiaji believes that Malang City must have a regional regulation that also protects and embraces the elderly who are residents of Bumi Arema. "We will propose it as soon as possible to the Malang City DPRD," said Sutiaji.
In front of hundreds of Tera gymnastics participants, Sutiaji also gave a lot of motivation so that the elderly in Malang City are always useful. In addition, the importance of exercising and maintaining a good diet in order to obtain prime health must still be considered by the elderly.
"As the father of the elderly, I will continue to support various activity programs that aim to increase the productivity of the elderly in Malang City, because the elderly in facing their old age must continue to have high spirits and be useful," he explained.
"Tera Gymnastics is one of the very good sports for the elderly. This activity (gymnastics) must continue to be encouraged, in addition to making the elderly healthier, also as a means of friendship for them," he said. (say/cah/yon)
