Bali (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji together with the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB) of Malang City conducted a working visit to the eastern tip of Bali Island, namely to the FKUB of Karangasem Regency, Thursday (2/8).
The group of 35 people were received at the Karangasem Regent's Office. Also accompanying on this occasion were the Head of Bakesbangpol Malang City, Head of Social and Community Affairs of the Malang City Regional Secretariat and Head of Intelligence of the Malang City District Attorney's Office.
Expert Staff for Human Resources of Karangasem Regency, Dr. Priagung Duarsa, received a working visit from the FKUB of Malang City accompanied by the Head of the FKUB of Karangasem Regency and related OPDs.
Head of FKUB Karangasem I Made Sudiarsa. BA said that the existence of FKUB Karangasem was established with the legal basis of the Joint Decree (SKB) in 2006 and the Decree of the Regent of Karangasem concerning the empowerment of FKUB Karangasem Regency.
"We have always lived side by side, if we go back to the history of the existence of Karangasem Regency, yesterday was its 378th anniversary. During that period we were peaceful, Mr. Mayor (Sutiaji). Our relationship with Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, and Islamic religious figures was side by side and in line even though there were problems that were casuistic, but those that touched on SARA were nil," he said.
"In accordance with the vision of Karangasem Regency, namely Smart, Clean and Dignified Based on Tri Hita Karana, our philosophy cannot be separated from harmony with the people, fellow human beings. We do not cut down trees carelessly, let alone injure others," added the Expert Staff for Human Resources of Karangasem Regency, dr. Priagung Duarsa who is also of Arema blood.
Meanwhile, Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji explained that the conditions in Malang City are also conducive. By having religious diversity, the number of students is quite large, no less than 350-400 thousand students, and the population reaches 9.242 people.
Sutiaji also conveyed the suspicion that several campuses were exposed to radicalism. "But how do we maintain consistency, there have never been any ripples that lead to that. Alhamdulillah, we have indeed worked together, conduciveness has always been maintained. Indeed, I fully guard FKUB on how to be consistent in maintaining harmony," he explained.
Philosophically, religious people essentially respect, respect God, respect humans, respect God's creation. The key is internalization in religious life.
"Those who are included in the FKUB are figures in each religion. When we internalize the dogma within ourselves, God willing, it will be finished. We explain how the Church, Mosque, Vihara, Pura, God willing, the dogmas that exist in each religion can be resolved," added Sutiaji.
Behind the rich diversity of tribes, religions, races and groups in Indonesia, the factuality of SARA issues is the main factor in horizontal conflict. The facts and notes are the background to the meeting of the FKUB of Malang City with the FKUB of Karangasem Regency, and will be a joint agenda of FKUB throughout Indonesia in joint meeting forums.
