Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Three regional heads in Malang Raya are committed to synergizing in regional policies and development. The Acting Mayor of Malang, the Regent of Malang, and the Mayor of Batu agreed to strengthen coordination and joint communication in the spirit of Malang Raya.
"We will build a tradition together in one forum that presents each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) so that there is connectivity and program synergy," said Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji.
To start the commitment, an amateur meeting of the regional secretary and the ranks of the Malang Raya regional assistants was held in the Tumapel Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall, Tuesday (7/8). Present at the meeting were the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH, Acting Regional Secretary of Batu City Edi Murtono and the Assistant for Government Administration and Social Welfare of Malang Regency Abdul Kodir.
"This (meeting) follows up on the initiative and commitment of the leadership (regional head_ed). Formulating the technical activities, topics and who is involved in it," said Wasto after the meeting.
The main thing, he added, is that they agreed to move forward together, therefore the agreed title for the future is Malang Raya, Moving Forward Together.
"There are many things that can be done together. Such as tourism, waste management, joint productive area development, and other sectors. What is certain is that we will guard this momentum together, so that Malang Raya does not just stop at the concept level, but is truly actualized," explained Wasto who is always enthusiastic about Arema's One Soul Greeting.
There were five points of agreement stated in the minutes of the joint meeting, including agreeing to realize the plan for a meeting of regional heads throughout Malang Raya and taking technical steps to prepare the required activities.
Second, Malang City will host the meeting planned for August 27 or another mutually agreed time. Third, the meeting is intended to synergize the policy commitments of Malang Raya which will be stated in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding.
Fourth, as a simultaneous follow-up, a road map for Malang Raya cooperation will be prepared, preceded by a process of inventorying priority problems. Fifth, the results of the meeting will be reported to the Governor of East Java with a copy to the Head of Bakorwil and regional heads throughout Malang Raya.
Wasto also informed that to strengthen commitment and continuity of policy, each OPD in Malang Raya will be encouraged to proactively hold technical communication and meetings.
"In the cooperation roadmap, short-term, medium-term and long-term work plans and targets will also be prepared with the goal of progress and prosperity of Malang Raya," said Edi Murtono, Acting Regional Secretary of Batu City.
The same point was also emphasized by Abdul Kodir, Assistant for Government Administration and Social Welfare of Malang Regency. According to him, synergy is important, because it is possible that the problems of one region cannot be solved by the region itself. It needs to be supported by the surrounding areas.
This is also the target of this forum. One of them mentioned by Abdul Khodir is to conduct an inventory of priority problems to find solutions together with the spirit of moving forward together. (say/yon)
