Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Traffic Forum held a coordination meeting and inter-agency discussion forum at the Malang City Transportation Agency (Dishub) Office, Wednesday (8/8) to discuss preparations for the opening of the Malang-Pandaan (Mapan) toll road.
Head of the Malang City Transportation Agency, Kusnadi, S.Sos said that the opening and operation of the Mapan toll road will certainly increase the number of vehicles entering Malang City.
"Together with the Traffic Forum, we are preparing supporting facilities for the Mapan toll road, such as lanes, traffic signs, and road engineering," said Kusnadi, Wednesday (8/8).
This discussion forum involved members of the Traffic Forum including from the Transportation Agency, TNI/Polri, community leaders, BP2D Malang City, Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR), and academics.
Various supporting facilities for the Mapan toll exit route located in Madyopuro Village, Kedungkandang District have been planned, including Jl. Ki Ageng Gribig-Muharto-Kebalen Market-Jl Gatot Subroto, or Madyopuro-Sawojajar-Sulfat.
"We have to prepare the road engineering, what the signs will be like, what needs to be anticipated, especially those involving cross-agency," explained Kusnadi.
If these roads are later used by vehicles exiting the toll road, of course there will be adjustments to traffic signs, road angles, road markings, too. traffic lights. In addition to internal Malang City will also continue to be connected with cooperation with other regions such as Malang Regency. (cah/yon)
