Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Arema's 31st Anniversary, which is celebrated every August 11, was greeted with joy by Aremania and Aremanita from all over Malang Raya. This was seen in front of Malang's Kota Baru Station during the 31st Arema Nuhat Concert, which was followed by a retracing of history to Kanjuruhan Stadium, Kepanjen, Malang Regency, while watching the League 1 match between Arema FV and Borneo FC, Saturday (11/8).
Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji was present on this occasion and also sent off the convoy to retrace the steps from Malang's Kota Baru Station to Kanjuruhan Stadium, Kepanjen, Malang Regency.
Sutiaji said, as when it was founded by the late H. Acub Zaenal with his son Lucky Acub Zaenal or who is usually called Sam Ikul, the history of Arema's founding was for the pride of Arek Malang.
"Typically Malang is Arek Malang (Arema). Arema has the One Soul Greeting that distinguishes Arek Malang from residents of other regions," said Sutiaji, Saturday (11/8).
Sutiaji emphasized that Arema is not only in the world of football, but the term Arema has become an identity for many things that represent Malang Raya.
The feeling of joy was not only felt by the participants of the retracing, this was expressed by one of the residents, namely Sutrisno, who also witnessed the retracing event with his wife.
"I was so happy to be able to dance to Arema songs. Actually, I also wanted to join the convoy to Kanjuruhan (Stadium), but because I was worried that my bike would break down, I decided not to," said Sutrisno.
Sutrisno also hopes that in Arema's increasingly mature age, Arema will achieve more and can become the pride of Arek Malang. (cah/yon)
