Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The commemoration of the 73rd Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in Malang City began with the Red and White Flag Hoisting Ceremony, Friday (17/8) in the front yard of Malang City Hall.
Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji acted as hoping that the commemoration of the 73rd Anniversary of Indonesian Independence this time would be able to provide a special spirit for the people of Malang, especially in an effort to continue to increase the sense of nationalism.
"The sense of nationalism must also be embedded in us from an early age. For that, I invite the young generation to be able to increase the sense of nationalism, the sense of love for the nation, the sense of love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," Sutiaji invited, Friday (17/8).
As a local government, Sutiaji continued, we will also provide lessons local wisdom (local wisdom) which will later be included as an extracurricular subject with the aim of immediately resolving the national character which is currently a problem for the nation's children, so that they can love their country more and be able to find their identity.
"We want to be independent in the true sense, so that this country belongs to the people, from the people and also for the people. The emphasis on us as a regional government is to realize the best public service for the community, especially in Malang City," said Sutiaji.
After the implementation of the flag-raising ceremony of the Red and White, the activity was continued with a friendly gathering with the pioneers of independence, veterans of the 45th generation, retired, wedatama, warakawuri and the younger generation held at the Gazebo of Malang City Hall.
