2018 Asian Games: Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team Remains Optimistic

Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – Despite losing to Japan in the preliminary round of Group A, the Indonesian women's volleyball team is optimistic that they can become the best four. Various efforts will be made by the coaching team, such as in terms of compactness and playing techniques.

The Indonesian women's volleyball team had to admit the superiority of the Japanese team when the two met, Sunday (19/08) night at the Gelora Bung Karno field in Jakarta. Despite playing their best game, the team coached by Mohammad Ansori lost in three straight sets to the team from the country known as the Land of the Rising Sun.

Ansori sportingly acknowledged the superiority of the opposing team even though his team had played well. "Although we lost in the preliminary round of group A, there are still many matches that the Red and White volleyball team can win in the future. I am optimistic that this team will perform even better," he said.

As for the closest match, which is on August 22 when they will face the Hong Kong team, the Indonesian team has a great chance of winning. Ansori is optimistic that it will be realized well. Not only that, for Ansori, the Indonesian women's volleyball team can still be the fourth or fifth best.

"Various strategies and game patterns will be prepared soon, so that the team can achieve victory after victory in the following matches in the prestigious Asian Games this time," said Ansori.

"In order to achieve what is targeted in this prestigious event at the Asian level and in other subsequent competitions, then the team's improvement must be as much as possible, so that later this team will become a solid team and according to expectations," he added again. (say/yon)
