Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – Indonesian male archer, Riau Ega Agata Salsabila, successfully won a bronze medal in the men's singles recurve event after defeating Kazakhstan athlete Abullin Ilfat at the Senayan archery field, Jakarta, Tuesday (28/08).

In this match, Riau Ega won the competition with a score of 6-2. The man from Surabaya, East Java felt quite satisfied and proud of winning this bronze medal, because at least he could contribute to the medal for the Indonesian contingent.
Personally, he said, he actually wanted to win a gold medal, but when his hard work only yielded bronze, he was grateful for what he had achieved.
Some of the toughest opponents in the previous matches, according to Riau Ega, were athletes from Korea and Kazakhstan. The friendly man admitted that he was focused and did not really care about the results of his opponents when competing for the bronze medal, so he could get optimal points and win a medal.
When asked about the preparations so far, Riau Ega admitted that he had prepared very well. He admitted that he was stressed and sick during quarantine in order to face the Asian Games event this time. However, he was able to go through all of that well so that it bore sweet fruit.
After the Asian Games this time, Riau Ega admitted that he would increase the intensity of training, harder and more disciplined, because later it will be projected to the Sea Games and the Olympics with the hope that later he can win a gold medal and bring glory to Indonesia's name. (say/yon)
