Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji became a speaker at the Socialization and Facilitation of the Establishment of a Legal Entity event organized by the Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF) at The Singhasari Resort, Batu City, Tuesday (28/08).

Sutiaji gave motivation to hundreds of participants consisting of creative economy activists from Malang City, Batu City, Malang Regency and surrounding areas. "I am a farmer's child from Lamongan who 'country bumpkin', so I had to work hard since college. I also did not depend too much on my parents for living expenses. I only had Rp550.000 which I then used to buy a motorbike to start a business,” said Sutiaji, which was greeted by applause from the participants.
"I have never been impressed by anyone. Because if we are impressed, then we are below them. We must dream far above them," he continued.
In this event, Sutiaji spoke about legal entities in the creative economy. Not only that, Sutiaji also conveyed the opportunities for developing small businesses through the Regional Credit Guarantee (Jamkrida). Through this program, the Malang City Government will help small businesses to obtain business loans with guarantees from the local government.
"The plan is that Malang City will also work together with Baznas to provide attention to creative economy actors, so that later there will be no usury or interest in it," said Sutiaji.
Whole startup in Malang City, he said, should continue to strive to increase competitiveness through creativity, so that creative economy business actors are also expected to have a legal entity for their business. Because with a legal entity, there will be many opportunities to develop the market.
For Malang City, there are already four creative economy sectors, namely culinary, animation, design, and games. "There are many creative results of the young generation of Malang City who have succeeded in their fields that can attract the attention of many people, both nationally and internationally," explained Sutiaji.
"In the future, we also hope that MSME players will continue to explore a lot of information and knowledge through socialization and training to improve the quality of their products, for example the quality of... packaging-"to attract more consumer attention," concluded Sutiaji. (cah/ars/ram/yon)
