2018 Asian Games; Men's 4×100 Meter Relay Team Wins Silver Medal

Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – After the day before in the men's 4 x 100 meter relay race reaching the final, finally the Indonesian runners, including the young runner Lalu Muhammad Zohri, won the silver medal.

This medal achievement is in accordance with the target set by the coaching team and all of this is a source of pride for all parties, because all those competing in the final are world-class runners.

It was all thanks to the efforts of the Indonesian men's 4 x 100 meter relay team consisting of Lalu Muhammad Zohri, Eko Rimbawan, Fadlin, and Bayu Kertanegara as well as the full support of the Indonesian people who continued to provide support until they were finally able to achieve positive results.

Thousands of Indonesian citizens who filled the stands of the Gelora Bung Karno field in Jakarta, Thursday (30/08) night, always gave encouragement to every Indonesian athlete who was about to compete. As a result, the 4 x 100 meter relay runner won a silver medal after defeating runners from China who ended up in third place.

In first place was achieved by Japanese runners with a time of 38,16 seconds, Indonesia 38,77 seconds and third place from China 38,89 seconds. Although in second place, this achievement must be appreciated, because the opponents from Indonesia are actually quite tough, where they are international level runners who are full of experience.

The coach of the men's national relay team, Eni Nuraini, admitted that she was very proud of this achievement and praised the hard work that her students had done. Likewise, Lalu Muhammad Zohri admitted that he was proud because he was able to win a medal for the Indonesian squad at the Asian Games this time.

From these results, the 4 x 100 meter relay runners will be projected to various championship events, such as the 2020 and 2024 Olympics, so that the athletic management throughout Indonesia will make maximum preparations.
