Through this press release we convey that the acceptance of Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) for the 2018 Fiscal Year has officially opened. At the National Coordination Meeting for CPNS Recruitment by the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) together with the Ministry of Empowerment of Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB) at the Bidakara Hotel Jakarta this morning, Thursday, (6/9/2018) it was announced that registration would open on 19 September 2018. The total number of positions available for applicants to compete for is 238.015 consisting of 51.271 Central Agencies (76 Ministries/Institutions) and 186.744 (525 Regional Agencies).
Head of BKN Bima Haria Wibisana as the Chairperson of the National CPNS Selection Implementation Committee said that the 2018 CPNS registration and selection system will be carried out in an integrated manner through the national portal via http://sscn.bkn.go.id and there is no registration through the independent portal by the Agency. Furthermore, the selection process will use the Computer Assisted Test (CAT BKN) system for both the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) and Field Competency Selection (SKB).
In more detail, the Head of BKN explained that BKN anticipates the number of selection participants that could reach 5 to 6 million people and the total number of applicants will exceed the total number of participants. Based on the review of the 2017 CPNS selection, the difficulty of updating Population Identity Number (NIK) data is the biggest obstacle for applicants. Regarding this, BKN hopes that the Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) system is also ready.
Furthermore, for the readiness of the 2018 CPNS selection test location, it is currently planned to be implemented at 176 locations consisting of the BKN Central Office, 14 BKN Regional Offices and 14 BKN Technical Implementation Units (UPT) spread throughout Indonesia, independent facilities and cooperation with the Regional Government. For updates on the preparation of the 2018 CPNS registration, the BKN SSCN team and the admin of each Agency are currently inputting all formations.
Thus the sscn.bkn.go.id website will be functional after all K/L/D have entered the formation and application requirements. This process will take until September 18, 2018.
Regarding the administrative requirements for registration, the Head of BKN appealed to all agencies receiving CPNS 2018 to provide reasonable requirements and not to inconvenience the applicant community. Requirements such as accreditation and Cumulative Achievement Index (IPK) must be adjusted to the achievement index in each region.
