Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Flower Carnival (MFC) 2018 which was held on Sunday (16/9) received appreciation from the Ministry of Tourism and will be proposed again in 100 Wonderful Events Indonesia. In this regard, the event which has entered its 8th year has mostly met the requirements and is worthy of being a national and even international agenda.

Malang Flower Carnival 2018 this year carries the theme Wonderful Indonesia Flower. Attended by 200 participants from various regions as well as participants from abroad with 150 designers, this MFC attracted the attention of many parties.
Event This year, said the Head of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), it is driven by creative communities in the fashion sector with carnival costumes made from recycled materials designed to resemble beautiful flowers.
"This activity is an effort to re-establish Malang as the City of Flowers by encouraging community participation in environmental conservation. The best of the best winners will be given a certificate, trophy, and a total of Rp40 million in coaching money," added Ida.
He further said that it was not just the excitement that was lively, but event This tourism also has an impact on various sectors. Such as the elevation of local wisdom, increasing tourist visits and the community's economy.
It is hoped that the regular holding of this event will help boost Malang City's big ideals to become an international class creative city.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Tourism's Expert Staff for Multicultural Affairs, Esthy Reko Astuti, in her speech said that MFC had entered the top 100 Wonderful Events Indonesia Ministry of Tourism 2017 and 2018. Not only that, this MFC will also be proposed in 2019 and hopefully it will be realized.
"The implementation of MFC can meet various requirements of the tourism development concept initiated by the Minister of Tourism and the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Such as environmentally friendly events, driving the economy and involving many people and the government," explained Esthy.
The MFC event is also expected to build a creative community with a global perspective, based on local wisdom and excellence.
