Malang City Government Receives Visit from UI Smart City Team

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – A team from the University of Indonesia visited the Malang City Communication and Information Service (Kominfo) and was received directly by the Head of the Malang Kominfo Service, Zulkifli Amrizal, S.Sos, M.Si in the office. The arrival of the guests chaired by Fithra Faisal Hastiadi was related to the program smart city which is being carried out in several regions in Indonesia, including Malang City.

According to Fithra, his party wants to explore various things related to the smart city program, if possible also related to the obstacles faced by the region so that later the best solution will be sought. Like the program offered which is labeled smart mobility.

In the program, he said, it will help regions in reducing and untangling traffic congestion. Concretely, there is a system that can be embedded in traffic lights so that when traffic jams occur, they can be arranged accordingly.

"Each region is certainly not the same, and has different obstacles in the program. smart city, so it needs to be described in detail to find the best solution. In addition to Malang City, several areas are also destinations, such as Surabaya, Banyuwangi, Depok and Jakarta," added Fithra.

Regarding these matters, the Head of the Malang City Communication and Information Service, Zulkifli Amrizal, S.Sos, M.Si welcomed it and of course felt proud because Malang City was one of the cities chosen by the University of Indonesia for this program.

Zul said that his party will support all these programs so that later various problems or obstacles can be minimized as much as possible even though so far various efforts have been made. "One of them is the presence of Ngalam Command Center, which is a real effort from the Malang City Government in relation to the program smart city," he added.

"These various offers will also involve related agencies such as the Department of Transportation, Licensing (DPMPTSP) and Barenlitbang. Thus, what is being planned is related to the program smart city will be realized optimally," concluded Zulkifli. (say/yon)
