Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Hundreds of Indonesian Air Force soldiers from Abdulrahman Saleh Air Base Malang held a readiness exercise. Two Hercules aircraft were involved to deploy hundreds of soldiers and other war needs. This exercise is an anticipation and readiness of the Indonesian Air Force in maintaining the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia from various kinds of disturbances and threats.

The airport is one of the vital objects and must receive special attention and security as an effort to anticipate various threats that can come at any time. In relation to that, hundreds of TNI AU soldiers from Squadron 32 and the 464 Paskhas Commando Battalion, held a readiness exercise in the Abdulrachman Saleh Malang Air Force Base area, Friday (21/09).
This readiness exercise is titled the operation of seizing, controlling, operating the air base and securing the President and other VVIP guests. The first action, the Hercules aircraft dropped a number of combat control team troops, before the combat unit team was deployed.
For approximately eight hours, the second Hercules aircraft released a team of combat troops and both teams moved to attack. In the struggle for and securing the air base, there was a very fierce exchange of fire with the enemy. Shortly afterward, the air base was controlled by the Indonesian Air Force. That was how the readiness training was carried out by the Indonesian Air Force soldiers.
The supervisor of the readiness training evaluation from the TNI Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Pas Iwan Setiawan said, this training is to train the TNI Air Force Special Forces Corps (Korpaskhas AU) and train air elements. "In its implementation, there is an element of synergy between units so that the readiness desired by the TNI is achieved," he said.
From this readiness exercise, Iwan continued, it is expected to further improve the TNI AU's capabilities in various security efforts and actions. "Thus, in any situation and if needed at any time, the TNI AU is ready, and to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia until the end of life," he concluded. (say/yon)
