Malang City Government Opens Palu and Donggala Disaster Care Post

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – During the morning assembly of ASN in the Malang City Government environment in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Tuesday (2/10), the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH appealed to all ASN in the Malang City Government environment, especially the General Section of the Malang City Secretariat to open a post for distributing aid to victims of the Palu and Donggala disasters as previously implemented, namely the post for caring for victims of the Lombok earthquake disaster.

"I emphasize that a team from the General Section be formed immediately for the earthquake and tsunami disaster care post in Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi. There must be a sincere intention so that its realization is more beneficial. In addition, we also accept assistance from the community who want to distribute aid and in this case, the mobilization of aid must be increased from before," he explained.

The General Section of the Malang City Regional Secretariat has opened a post for caring for victims of the earthquake and tsunami disaster that occurred in Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi, which is located in the Gazebo of Malang City Hall with service hours starting from 08.00-16.00 WIB.

This morning's assembly was also different, because all ASN were seen wearing batik in order to commemorate National Batik Day which is celebrated every October 2. A similar scene was also seen at the morning assembly at the Integrated Office which was led directly by the Mayor of Malang.

Batik as an Indonesian cultural heritage has been recognized on the world stage as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity) on 2 October 2009 by UNESCO.

With the commemoration of National Batik Day, the Regional Secretary of Malang City also appealed to all ASN to wear batik, especially Malangan batik. "By buying Malangan batik, we hope to support the progress of MSMEs of Malangan batik craftsmen," said Wasto. (cah/yon)
