Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko was present to represent the Mayor of Malang who was unable to attend the Cangkrukan event of the Malang City Police Chief with the Forkopimda and elements of the Malang City community which was held at the Official Residence of the Malang City Police Chief on Jl Besar Ijen, Malang City, Thursday night (12/10).
On this occasion, the Deputy Mayor of Malang invited all elements of society to always support government programs in development, especially those carried out by the Malang City Government.
In the era of Drs. H. Sutiaji's leadership as the current Mayor of Malang, according to Sofyan Edi, various things have been attempted and done so that this City of Education will be even better in the future.
Especially in the 99-day program of his government, the Mayor of Malang has done many things. "For example, related to the prevention and eradication of corruption since early age which must be taught since school age," he explained.
"When students enter grades 1 and 2 of elementary school, the strengthening of manners and various ethics must be strengthened. This is also an effort to prevent corruption from an early age, and this program must be included in the school curriculum. If the prevention of corruption is started early, then in the future, a future generation will be born that meets the nation's expectations," he explained.
In addition, regarding the problem of traffic jams, he said that to reduce the traffic jams that have been quite disturbing to residents, the Malang City Government in this case the Transportation Agency and the Police have carried out traffic engineering, such as around Jl. Soekarno-Hatta and Arjosari.
"This traffic engineering is very much needed, because amidst the increasing density of motorized vehicles, adding new roads or alternative roads is still unlikely to be realized," he continued.
The Malang City Government has also made various efforts to drive the community's economy, such as empowering MSMEs so that they can be better and can move up a class. Various potentials continue to be explored, both tourism potential and creative economic potential.
"These various efforts must be supported by all levels of society so that they can be realized optimally and the economic level of the community will increase even more," he added.
"In the (initial) work program of the Mayor of Malang, Mr. Sutiaji, which was stated in the 99 days since he took office, of course there will be significant and better changes in Malang City.
