Inauguration of the Social Security Employment Awareness Market

The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji and the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko had the opportunity to attend and officially launch the Social Security Awareness Market for Employment this time.

Also present to accompany the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP Widayati, S.Sos, MM, Deputy Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Elly Estiningtyas, Deputy Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD, Abdul Rahman, Head of the Malang City BPJS Employment Branch Office, Cahyaning Indria Sarif, SE, MM, and Head of the Malang City Trade Office, Drs. Wahyu Setianto, MM.

In his speech, Sutiaji said that the health and safety of workers are very important factors for increasing work productivity as human resources. Work that requires high work productivity can only be done by workers with prime health conditions.

"Therefore, through the signing of the MoU between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and the Malang City Trade Service today, I consider it a very appropriate effort in providing social security for traders at Oro-Oro Dowo Market in particular," he said, Tuesday (16/10).

In addition, Sutiaji hopes that this activity can motivate other market traders to follow in the footsteps of Oro-Oro Dowo Market traders to become members of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

In order to improve public access to quality health services in order to achieve the expected conditions, health care insurance is needed. Where this program is intended as an effort to overcome and prevent health disorders that require examination, treatment and care including pregnancy and childbirth.

This health maintenance aims to increase the productivity of the workforce so that they can carry out their work as well as possible and is a health effort in the field of healing.

Because healing efforts require a lot of funds and are burdensome if they are imposed on individuals, it is appropriate to try to mobilize the community's capabilities so that they can create a sense of security in working, so that they can fulfill the basic needs of a decent life for each participant and/or their family members.

Sutiaji also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the traders for their awareness and support in participating in the government program as it was held this time.

"Hopefully today's activities will not only be able to create a healthy market environment, but the traders will also be able to carry out their daily work activities with full comfort because they are protected, both in terms of safety and health, and their work productivity can also increase so that in the end it can improve their welfare," said Sutiaji.
