Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – To commemorate National Santri Day which is celebrated every October 22, the Malang City Government in this case the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) held a series of activities, namely the Halal Tourism Bazaar and Book Review of 'Halal Tourism' from a Multidimensional Perspective.
As an initial step, on Monday (15/10/2018) a coordination meeting was held in the Palapa Room of Malang City Hall led by the Assistant for Government and Social Welfare of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Drs. Abdul Malik, M.Pd and attended by representatives from the Malang City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, MUI, NU, Muhammadiyah, UIN Maliki, and OPDs within the Malang City Government.
Later the event will begin with the National Santri Day assembly on Monday (22/10/2018) at 07.30 WIB which will be attended by approximately 800 students from all elements of students in Malang City. The plan is for the Santri Day assembly activity, the Mayor of Malang will act as the ceremony inspector/ceremony leader.
"To commemorate this Santri Day, we are holding an assembly along with the opening of the Halal Tourism Bazaar to increase public knowledge about Halal Tourism in Malang City, as well as attracting foreign tourists, especially those from the Middle East, so that they can feel more comfortable when traveling in Malang City," said Abdul Malik.
In this Halal Tourism Bazaar, the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office will provide 50 free booths for the community, agencies, institutions and the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office with a size of 3x3 meters placed on Jl. Gajahmada east of Malang City Hall. This bazaar will be held from morning to evening.
This bazaar is an educational activity on the halal concept for the community that features tourism stakeholders such as halal hotels, halal restaurants, halal malls, halal tour travel, halal centers from several universities as well as associations and related institutions such as the MUI and the Ministry of Religion.
"In this bazaar, the participants who fill the stands provide education to the public about what types of halal food are. Several restaurants that serve halal food chinese food "Previously, we considered that they did not provide halal food, we will show them here as a notification to the public that in Malang City there are many restaurants that are halal certified and use halal ingredients," explained the Secretary of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office during the coordination meeting.
At this event, all stands will also be asked to display their halal products. display. Several restaurants that do not yet have halal certification are required to explain to the public all the ingredients used in making their products.
In addition to the roll call and Halal Tourism Bazaar, a Book Review of 'Halal Tourism' in a Multidimensional Perspective will also be held, which will be presented by Prof. Dr. HM Djakfar, SH, M.Ag, a lecturer at UIN Maliki Malang in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall.
