Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to carry out a study on investment potential and opportunities, the Malang City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) held a Workshop on Investment Potential and Opportunities.prospectus Former Ramayana Mall's investment in The 101 Hotel & Resort, Malang City, Monday (22/10).

This activity was attended and opened directly by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji. In his speech, the Mayor of Malang revealed that currently almost all regions of Indonesia are very dependent on the central government. From that reality, there must be a separate effort to strengthen the economic sector so that it can increase local revenue (PAD).
"The study of the utilization of the former Ramayana Mall is a small part of the Malang City Government's efforts to improve the welfare of the community in the future," explained Sutiaji, Monday (22/10).
He added that the former Ramayana mall whose contract expires this year will be used for activities that are very beneficial for the people of Malang City, including for the UMKM mall so that it has a representative place.
Meanwhile, Head of Investment Climate Development Division of DPMPTSP Malang City Soni Bachtiar, SE, MM said that many things were discussed in this workshop, including those related to investment in Malang City. "Including how to utilize Ramayana whose contract has expired," he explained.
Soni said there were seven parameters used to assess the plan, including business value, strategic value, technical readiness, and location suitability.
"Then there is legality, cooperation, contribution to the city government (Malang) and spatial suitability. For spatial suitability, it will be adjusted to the regional regulations owned by Malang City," said Soni.
From the seven parameters, it will be brought into a joint study with academics. After that, several business proposals will be formulated which can later become options to be managed after the former Ramayana returns to the Malang City Government.
Some of the proposal formulations that are currently being studied are hotels, condotels, shopping centers, office and business centers and shopping centers. This study was also conducted to accommodate the aspirations of the community to later be used as proposal material to the city government in this case to the mayor. (cah/yon)
