Banten (malangkota.go.id) – Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are moving up a class to become the focus of the Mayor of Malang. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, is so enthusiastic about elevating the MSME sector as seen from the intense participation of Malang City in the MSME product exhibition event.

After road show Starting from Apeksi in Tarakan, meeting superior products in Bali, exhibition of processed food products in Banjarbaru, now Malang City's MSME products are participating and being directly supervised by the Mayor of Malang at the 33rd Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) event in BSD City, Tangerang, Banten.

According to Sutiaji, it is very important to encourage MSMEs to directly contact market players and interact with MSMEs from other regions.
"To be able to move up a class, you have to be able to read the market, know the desires and current market trends. In addition to of course continuing to optimize the funding side, product quantity to talk the packaging (packaging)," said Sutiaji.
To the representatives of Malang City MSMEs and the Malang City Cooperatives & Micro Business Service, Sutiaji also encouraged MSMEs to expand E-Commerce.

The number of micro businesses in Malang City is recorded as 99.213 businesses, with details in Kedungkandang District as many as 21.045, Sukun District 20.251, Klojen District 17.034, Blimbing District 19.414 and as many as 21.469 businesses are in Lowokwaru District.
Meanwhile, for small businesses recorded in Kedungkandang as many as 1.876 businesses, Sukun 1.766 businesses, Klojen 2.395, Blimbing 1.674 businesses, and in Lowokwaru 2.231 businesses. As for the medium business cluster, 342 businesses were recorded in Kedungkandang, 428 businesses in Sukun, 1.622 businesses in Klojen, 608 businesses in Blimbing and in Lowokwaru District as many as 711 businesses.
For the micro business cluster, informed by the Head of the Cooperatives and Micro Business Service of Malang City Dra. Tri Widyani Pangestuti, M.Si has assets below IDR 50 million with a turnover of below IDR 300 million, the small business cluster has assets below IDR 500 million with a turnover of below IDR 2,5 billion, and for medium businesses have assets below IDR 10 billion with a turnover of below IDR 50 billion.
The TEI event initiated by the Directorate General of National Export Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade was held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) and took place from Wednesday (24/10) to Sunday (28/10). (say/yon)
