Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – To increase the community's interest in reading, KB/BA Restu TPQ At-Taufiq located at Jl. Bandung No. 7d Klojen, Malang City, made a breakthrough by providing a Community Reading Park (TBM).

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji appreciated the reading park named TBM An-Nafi' and inaugurated it on Saturday (27/10).
In his speech, Malang Mayor Sutiaji revealed that the literacy rate in Indonesia is still low, therefore various efforts are needed to increase it, including building community reading parks.
"Our literacy rate is low, even though in Islam we are taught about iqra, which means read," explained Sutiaji, Saturday (27/10).
In the era of information technology like today, if ideology is not strengthened then the entity of the nation will be damaged. One effort in maintaining it is by reading.
"Reading is not just the writing that we read. But our brain works and intuition works after reading," said Sutiaji.
The friendly man also hopes that the existence of this community reading park will increase interest in reading so that the literacy rate in Indonesia, especially in Malang City, will increase.
"On behalf of the Malang City Government, I appreciate the existence of a community reading park initiated by TK/BA Restu," he said.
On that occasion, Sutiaji also touched on the education system in Indonesia. According to him, the weakness of the education system so far is that it equates all students with one standard.
In fact, every child has their own abilities whose potential can be developed based on interests, talents and abilities.
"Therefore, as teachers and parents, we must be able to see the potential of children well so that the next generation can become a superior generation," said Sutiaji. (cah/yon)
