Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – In the context of activities to improve security, peace and order in the environment, Kedungkandang District held a socialization on overcoming the threat of radicalism, Sunday (18/11).
The activity held at the Kedungkandang District office was attended by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji who specifically provided direction. The activity involved the Head of RT/RW and community leaders throughout Kedungkandang District.
In his direction, Sutiaji revealed the role of RT/RW is very important in order to improve security and order in the environment. Because, those who directly touch the community are the RT/RW heads so professionalism is also needed in carrying out their duties.
"I have experience as an RT (head) for nine years, and an RW (head) for six years, so I know very well how to deal with the community," said Sutiaji, Sunday (18/11).
He revealed that being the head of RT/RW is a social task that is always a reference, a place for people to complain. In fact, he said, in-paido is something that is commonplace.
"The role of RT/RW is so noble. I express my deepest and most sincere gratitude," he said.
To suppress the threat of radicalism which is very disturbing at this time, Sutiaji asked the RT/RW heads to be stricter in carrying out environmental supervision, especially asking all residents to be orderly in their administration.
"From experience so far, radicals can enter an environment due to the lack of public concern for new foreigners who have just entered and do not ask for administrative order requirements," he explained again.
With RT/RW playing an active role in collecting data on its citizens, it is hoped that the threat of radicalism and people with evil intentions can be avoided and they will not have the opportunity to live in Malang City.
"I am happy today to be present in person in Kedungkandang District, to socialize with RT/RW throughout Kedungkandang District. Let's continue to maintain this socialization to jointly advance Malang City," Sutiaji invited. (cah/yon)
