Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji attended the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday held by SMPN 1 Malang, Tuesday (20/11). On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang also gave his sermon and laid the first stone of the Temu Bhakti Mosque which was the result of participation from alumni of SMPN 1 Malang.
Sutiaji said that he really appreciated what the alumni of SMPN 1 Malang had done regarding the construction of the prayer room, from the initial plan of only painting it, it has now shifted to building a prayer room.
"Good intentions realized in a good process will produce good goals," said the bespectacled man, Tuesday (20/11).
Sutiaji advised to never have negative intentions, never to think badly or be suspicious, because what humans think is good is not necessarily good according to Allah SWT, and vice versa.
"Everything must be intended for good, refreshment and enthusiasm to advance education in Malang City," he added.
On this occasion, Sutiaji also told a story by taking wisdom from a prospective plane passenger who was upset because he was delayed and ultimately could not board the plane.
"Everything changed drastically a few moments later after receiving information that the plane they were going to board had experienced a... lost contact and ended up experiencing a tragic accident," he said.
From that experience, Sutiaji again advised us to always think positively. In the process of education and teaching, he said that what is built initially is how to build mentality. It must be strengthened with spiritual and emotional intelligence as a support for intellectual intelligence. (cah/yon)
