Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – To improve the human resources (HR) of PPKn and religion subject teachers in Malang City, the Malang City Education Office again held a Career Development and Guidance activity for Educators and Education Personnel with PTK Provision for Improving Education Management at the Balava Hotel, Thursday (22/11).
Malang Mayor Sutiaji was present to open the event and provide direction to the participants of the event, namely PPKn teachers and religious teachers of elementary/junior high schools throughout Malang City. The speakers at this event included those from the Malang District Attorney's Office, Malang City Police, Kodim 0833 Malang City and also from the Malang City Inspectorate.
Head of the Malang City Education Office Dra. Zubaidah, MM expressed the importance of improving human resources through the learning process. Especially for religious education and PPKN which are closely related to character building.
"We hope that with this activity, both religious and civics teachers at elementary/junior high school levels throughout Malang City can increase their insight to develop their abilities," hoped Zubaidah, Thursday (22/11).
Character education, said Zubaidah, is very important to produce a generation of the nation that has character, dignity, intellectual and spiritual intelligence.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Dra. H. Sutijaji, said that it was extraordinary that the founders of the Indonesian nation founded this nation based on Pancasila. This already covers all good relationships with God and relationships with fellow human beings as well as relationships with the state.
"We live in Indonesia, so we should submit and obey the rules that apply in Indonesia," said Sutiaji.
In fact, Indonesia is a country that rich in ethnic, social, cultural and also religious diversity natural resources.
"Let's strengthen our character. Religious character, nationalism, independence, honesty and mutual cooperation so that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia remains strong," he invited. (cah/yon)
