Umbrella Dance Breaks MURI Record

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City has successfully broken the MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) record for the most Shaking Umbrellas, which was recorded at the Arema Tax Awareness V Healthy Walk at J. Simpang Balapan, Sunday (25/11).

Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji received the MURI award certificate from MURI Manager, Andre Purwandono

On the other hand, this umbrella dance is also to exercise the community and popularize sports and cultivate a healthy lifestyle. Thousands of residents who are taxpayers were enthusiastic about participating in the event.

In the series of Arema Sadar Pajak V 2018 Healthy Walk, which was driven by the Malang City Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D), there were at least 1.125 participants who participated, breaking the record.

MURI Manager, Andre Purwandono said that the umbrella dance was recorded in MURI with record number 8758. He said that this was a new record because it had never been broken before and there was no previous record.

Andre added, the minimum limit for breaking the new record is a minimum of 1.000 participants and for the most umbrella shakes in Malang City, it has been exceeded so it is worthy of being recorded in MURI. "The essence of breaking this record is focused on preserving the nation's culture in a different way and with a unique level of creativity," he explained.

Responding to the recently recorded MURI record, Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji considered this activity very good because the residents who participated in the MURI breaking were residents who were obedient in paying taxes.

"Not only to break MURI, event This is more about preserving the nation's culture so that it is worthy of being implemented continuously and with different levels of creativity," he said. (say/yon)
