Bandung, MC – This year, the Government has set 288 Orderly Measurement Markets (PTU) throughout Indonesia. With details, PTU as many as 197 markets in 92 districts/cities and nine Orderly Measurement Regions (DTU) as many as 91 PTU.

"Thus, up to 2018, 1.231 Orderly Measurement Markets have been formed in 34 provinces or around 13% of the total number of traditional markets in Indonesia, namely 9.559 markets," said the Director General of Consumer Protection and Trade Order, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Veri Anggrijono at the El Royale Hotel, Bandung, Thursday (06/12).
The event of Determination and Inauguration of Orderly Measurement Areas and Orderly Measurement Markets as well as the Inauguration of Legal Metrology Units in 2018 was attended by 300 participants. Each consists of regents/mayors who form orderly measurement areas and legal metrology units through district/city offices in charge of trade together with officials within the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) of the Republic of Indonesia.
On this occasion, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, expressed his appreciation for the performance and innovation of the Malang City Trade Service.
"One of them is how to present real data. Through orderly measurements, meaning that the weighing is good, the measurements are clear according to what consumers want. Today, we have three markets this year. We want it to increase, even in the future the market price can beUpdate by the community, such as in Pontianak City," explained the friendly man.
To become an Orderly Measurement Area (DTU), he continued, it requires hard work together from markets that have been orderly in measuring, so that it will be followed by all markets in Malang City, totaling 27 markets.
"In accordance with the vision and mission of Malang City of Dignity, our hope is that traders and buyers will complement each other and inform each other that there is openness. If it's one kilo, it's one kilo, nothing is missing. Later we will continue to move together," he concluded. (EM/ram/yon)
