During his visit this time, the President Director of PT KAI also provided special briefings and appeals to his staff, which were carried out privately. Thus, it will provide comfort for residents who are prospective train passengers.

Edi added, during the long holiday of Christmas and New Year 2019, the train transportation mode becomes one of the alternative choices for residents because so far the various facilities are comfortable. "It is not surprising that train passengers during the holiday soar quite high and even seats are bought long in advance," he said.

In this regard, Edi not only checked the health room at Kota Baru Station, but also carried out health checks to ensure the readiness of the officers.

This bespectacled man also asked that these minimum service standards be maintained and optimized so that passengers feel comfortable and well served.

Meanwhile, to anticipate the surge in passengers, PT KAI will prepare additional trains because the need for seats is estimated to increase by around four percent. "If last year there were 5,1 million seats, this year there will be 5,3 million, and if it is not sufficient, more will be prepared," explained Edi.

The President Director of PT KAI also said that in the near future there will be additional new trains that have been ordered from PT INKA which will be used to transport passengers during the 2019 Christmas and New Year holidays.

"While for large stations such as Pasar Senin, it is planned that there will be additional tents for resting places and comfortable waiting rooms," concluded Edi. (say/yon)
