Mayor of Malang Gives Direction to OPD Social Media Admins

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji gave direction to the social media admins of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Malang City Government at the OPD Social Media Admin Coordination Meeting at the Ngalam Command Center, Malang City Hall, Thursday (20/12).

In addition to receiving direct direction from the Mayor of Malang, the coordination meeting participants also received direction from the Regional Secretary of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH, as well as academics and media practitioners including Ngesti D. Prasetyo, Dias Satria, and Bahrul Ulum Annafi.

This coordination meeting is a follow-up to the 99-Day Work Program of the Mayor of Malang and Deputy Mayor of Malang regarding the management of official social media accounts of each OPD of the Malang City Government.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji in his direction said that in order to respond to various complaints or grievances received from the public, agility is needed in managing social media.

"Responding well on social media is very important, because from social media you can see the face of Malang City," said Sutiaji, Thursday (20/12).

With the coordination meeting of OPD social media admins/managers like this, in the future Malang City must continue to improve. "Admins must also respond quickly to public complaints that come into the OPD's social media," he said.

"I will talk directly with the Regional Secretary about the technical implementation. We hope that in the future through social media we can be better at branding the face of the city," Sutiaji hoped.

Meanwhile, Ngesti D. Prasetyo said that this first coordination meeting was only to align perceptions. In the future, he said that more intensive meetings must be held to be better inBranding face of the city.

According to him, with the same perception, later in responding to the various problems in Malang City, it will certainly be better. "Hopefully in the future Malang City can be better, more trusted by the community, more open, and accountable," he hoped.

Meanwhile Bahrul Umum said that to be able to do branding well and with a small budget, one way is through social media. The large number of social media users in Malang City is currently also an opportunity for this Education City to do branding well. (cah/yon)
