Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City National Narcotics Agency (BNN) took tactical steps to welcome the 2019 New Year. One of them was by holding a sympathetic operation in synergy with local government elements and law enforcement officers, Friday (28/12) night until Saturday (29/12).

"Because the moment is approaching New Year's Eve which is prone to abuse and the release of various types of narcotics in society, especially now that there are many new types of narcotics circulating that residents must be aware of. Therefore, this operation is more of a sympathetic operation," said the Head of the Malang City BNN, AKBP Bambang Sugiharto.
In an effort to enforce regulations in the implementation of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics and Presidential Instruction No. 6 of 2018 concerning the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Eradication of Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursors, Bambang admitted that his party could not work alone.
"This effort requires cooperation and active participation from all elements of society. Including elements of government, both executive and legislative, law enforcement officers and the side ranks. It will not run effectively without the support of all citizens from all levels of society," he explained.
According to AKBP Bambang, this sympathetic operation was carried out in an effort to eradicate drug trafficking and is also in accordance with the vision and mission carried by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, to realize Malang as a Dignified City.
"We also want to be actively involved in efforts to provide a sense of security and comfort to parents whose children attend school or college in Malang City. Including maintaining the positive image of Malang City as a drug-free City of Education in order to form the young generation of the nation's hope," he said.
In this joint operation, legislative institutions also took part, starting from the chairman of the council to the heads of the commissions.
"This is all for the sake of realizing Malang City that is free from drugs and alcohol as the identity of a Dignified City. We also agree with the direction of the Mayor (of Malang) so that we as executive working partners are required to support positive programs from the Malang City Government," said the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, Bambang Heri Susanto.
In fact, legislators are currently drafting new regional regulations that will regulate the distribution of alcoholic beverages in Malang City.
"We are currently working on it. We are refining it according to the increasingly dynamic growth of Malang City as well as the increasing entertainment business," added the Chairman of Commission A, Nawang Nugraning Widhi SH.
Meanwhile, optimism was also carried by all the Regional Tax Service Agency (BP2D) crew who were actively involved in the joint operation.
It is as if there is no such thing as laziness in the dictionary of the OPD which was formerly called the Regional Revenue Service (Dispenda), even though it has just exceeded its target with an achievement of more than IDR 433 billion (102 percent achievement) before the end of the 2018 financial year.
This good opportunity to synergize in a joint operation was utilized properly to conduct a tax raid. The BP2D Inspection Team consisting of PPNS elements, heads of divisions, heads of sub-divisions, Heads of UPT led directly by the Head of BP2D, Ir. H. Ade Herawanto, MT looked very enthusiastic.
For violations found, strict action will be taken immediately, starting from light sanctions such as warnings and attaching stickers for unpaid taxes to severe warnings in the form of sealing.
"The result is that several business managers were called to be questioned to complete the BAP. Also for business premises that have not participated in the program e-Tax alias online tax, then it is mandatory to participate by filling out the minutes of the statement of willingness to become the relevant Taxpayer," said Ade.
The joint operation that departed from the Malang City BNN Office at 22.00 WIB was attended by dozens of personnel from the Police, TNI, Satpol PP and embraced cross-Aremania communities such as d'Kross and community organizations.
This joint operation targeted entertainment venues including cafes and karaoke spread across Malang City, starting from the Dieng area, Attorney General Suprapto to Soekarno-Hatta.
"We do not go down alone because we involve the side ranks and always coordinate with the Forkopimda. Synergy between ranks is important, considering that this has become our shared responsibility to create a conducive climate in Malang City, its citizens are tax compliant, orderly in administration and of course free from drugs," said Sam Ade, the nickname of the Head of BP2D.
In addition to checking the bookkeeping of taxpayers who are subject to Entertainment Tax, Advertising Tax, Street Lighting Tax, Land and Building Tax (PBB) and other types of taxes, in this joint operation, the Malang City BNN also conducted urine tests on visitors to the night entertainment venues they visited.
Meanwhile, from the results of urine tests conducted by the BNN, visitors who test positive for consuming drugs will be immediately secured by officers. For the category of users, the principle of presumption as victims is still upheld so that they are directed to the rehabilitation process. However, for drug dealers who are caught, they will be immediately processed according to applicable legal procedures.
"In an effort to increase awareness of regional taxation as well as an effort to realize a drug-free Malang City by directly eradicating it in the community, we hope that this joint operation can be very effective. Because in addition to prosecuting recalcitrant taxpayers, in one raid, the BNN can also carry out a Hand-Catching Operation (OTT) on users and perpetrators of the distribution of illicit goods," said Sam Ade.
The man who is also known as a musician, sports figure and cross-community unifier hopes that joint operations like this will remain a routine agenda, without abandoning the synergy that has been well established.
"It doesn't have to be BP2D that initiates it. Whoever has a joint operation agenda, we will fully support and be ready to be actively involved in it," he concluded. (say/yon)
