Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Population and Civil Registration Service (Dispendukcapil) of Malang City conducted electronic ID card recording for 100 inmates at the Class I Lowokwaru Penitentiary (Lapas), Thursday (17/01/2019).

This shows the seriousness of the Malang City Population and Civil Registry Service in providing services to the people of Malang City. Moreover, soon all Indonesian citizens will participate in the democratic party. Where the requirement to be able to vote in the general election is an identity in the form of an electronic KTP.
Head of the Malang City Population and Civil Registry Office, Dra. Eny Hari Sutiarny, MM revealed that some inmates of the Lowokwaru Class I Prison from Malang City have already recorded their electronic ID cards and some have not.
"Today, there are 100 inmates at Lowokwaru Prison who are recording their electronic ID cards," said Eny Hari Sutiarny.
In addition to recording electronic ID cards, Dispendukcapil also conducts geometric checks on inmates (WBP) at Lowokwaru Prison. After being checked, if it is correct, a certificate will be printed.
Meanwhile, Head of Class I Lowokwaru Prison, Malang City, Yudi Suseno said that Lowokwaru Prison currently has 3.038 WBP. Residents who are included in the permanent voter list (DPT) are 2.899 people, each consisting of Malang City 723 people, Malang Regency 1.123 people, Batu City 108 people, and 945 people from various other regions.
These inmates will later have the right to vote to channel their aspirations in the general election on April 17, 2019.
"We are recording inmates who have not yet recorded their electronic ID cards, with the hope that during the 2019 election they can provide their aspirations to vote," explained Yudi. (cah/ram/yon)
