Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government will provide subsidies to students from underprivileged families. The subsidy is in the form of subsidies for public transportation (angkot) to go to and from school.
With the discourse of this program, it will also support quality education programs and equal education in all levels of society.
This subsidy program was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, Monday (21/01/2019). For the technical implementation, whether the students receiving the subsidy will use a special ticket or with a barcode on their mobile phone, Sutiaji explained that it will be regulated further.
"Mobile "Students will later be connected to transportation drivers and/or officers from the Malang City Government. Through this program, students will not be late to school and road safety can be guaranteed," added the bespectacled man.
For the readiness of city transportation, Sutiaji admitted that if later what needs to be fixed will be repaired immediately. And this proposal is not only from the Malang City Government, but has also been proposed by Organda (Land Transportation Organization) so that in the near future it can be realized.
Regarding the budget, the Mayor of Malang, a badminton enthusiast, explained that it would be allocated from the 2019 APBD, but the amount would still be discussed further.
"We will invite various related parties to hold discussions, listen to input, suggestions and criticisms, so that this program can run and be implemented well later," he concluded. (say/yon)
