Musrenbang of Kotalama Subdistrict

The Head of Kotalama Village, Joko Siswo Bintoro Setio Gunawan, ST after opening the Village Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) held in the hall of the Kotalama Village Office, Saturday night (26/01/2019) said that during the implementation of the Musrenbang this time, one of the priority programs was to prevent and suppress the occurrence of various natural disasters.

Joko further said that many residential areas are located on the banks of large rivers, namely the Brantas and Amprong Rivers. This area is very prone to landslides and floods, especially during the rainy season.

"We have appealed to residents to always be vigilant, and if there are indications of a disaster, immediately report to the BPBD or sub-district," he added.

According to Joko, from the contour of the land with a fairly sharp slope and crossed by two large rivers, the Kotalama Urban Village area should have minimal flooding. However, after further investigation, it turned out that many water flows were blocked, especially in residential areas.

Therefore, Joko explained, drainage repair and construction is also one of the priority programs proposed in this Musrenbang.

"Thus, we hope that in the future flooding and landslides can be minimized as much as possible so as to also bring a sense of security and comfort to the community," he continued.

Apart from all that, Joko advised residents and musrenbang participants that the various programs or proposals submitted later are truly what is needed and beneficial for residents.

"For all residents, we hope that you can maintain the cleanliness of your respective environments and do not throw garbage in the river," he invited. (say/yon)
