Development of Water Tourism and Organic Farming Becomes Priority Proposal of Musrenbang of Wonokoyo Sub-District

Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Wonokoyo Village, Kedungkandang District, Malang City held a Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) in the hall of the Wonokoyo Village Office, Monday (28/01/2019). In this event, residents of the village wanted the development of water tourism and organic agricultural tourism villages.

One of Wonokoyo's residents, Farida Dwi Rahayu, said that currently organic farming in Wonokoyo continues to grow. Along with public awareness of health, the demand for organic farming products in Wonokoyo also continues to increase.

"We hope that in 2020, Wonokoyo will increasingly concentrate on developing organic farming. The market is currently very good," said Farida.

So far, according to him, the concentration of organic farming in Wonokoyo has been concentrated in the RW 4 area in RT 2 and RT 1. In the future, he wants organic farming to be developed throughout Wonokoyo Village, so that it can further improve the welfare of the community.

Meanwhile, the Head of Wonokoyo Village, Suparman, SH., M.Si said that in addition to organic farming, in Wonokoyo Village in 2020 it is hoped that water tourism can be developed. He said that in the Wonokoyo area there is a river flow that is good for tourism development.

"There are many proposals from residents to develop Wonokoyo in 2020. This meeting is very good for joint dialogue to plan development," said Suparman.

Appreciation for the implementation and participation of residents in this musrenbang was also expressed by the Head of Kedungkandang District Drs. Pent Hariyanto, MM. "Through this musrenbang, we hope that not only physical development will be carried out. But non-physical sector development is also very important to pay attention to," he said.
