Malang Mayor: Awards to Stimulate Performance

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Before leading the morning assembly in the yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (28/01/2019), the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji presented an award that was again won by the Malang City Government in terms of public service.

According to the friendly man, a number of awards achieved are the result of the performance and synergy of various parties, so they are something to be proud of.

This award was won at the Top 25 Public Service Innovation Competition (Kovablik) Award of East Java Province and the 2018 Good Practices Awards held at the Shangri-La Hotel Ballroom, Jalan Mayjend Sungkono, Surabaya, Monday (22/10/2018).

The two awards won by Malang City were the Electronic Maintenance Warning System (e-Mas) innovation for the Malang City DLH and a special regional category award with innovative breakthroughs for the disabled through Braille E-Ticketing Extraordinary Information (Brexit) for Janti Health Center (Malang City Health Service).

The Mayor of Malang said that innovation is a situation that previously did not exist but now exists, for the progress and improvement of the work system, so that awards like this are not merely a matter of pride, but must be used as work motivation, and also a trigger for other regional apparatus organizations, in improving their performance.

Sutiaji also appealed to all ASN in his ranks to be technology literate, because so far it has been proven that technological advances can simplify and accelerate performance. "If tasks and responsibilities that should be completed in two hours, but can be completed in one hour, why not," he added.

Furthermore, Sutiaji said, now is the time to implement modern technology for ASN and other public services in working and serving the community.

"In this era often called (the industrial revolution era) 4.0, technology is at the forefront of every community activity. However, let's take advantage of this technological advancement in positive things," he invited. (say/yon)
