Malang City Regional Secretary Welcomes Plan to Establish Social Assistance Task Force

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order for the distribution of social assistance funds from the Central Government to the regions to run optimally and according to targets, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has made a memorandum of understanding with the ranks of the National Police by forming a Social Assistance Task Force (Satgas Bansos).

In East Java, the Social Assistance Task Force is chaired by the Deputy Chief of East Java Regional Police, Brigadier General Pol. Toni Harmanto. In relation to that, Tuesday (29/01/2019) the Ministry of Social Affairs held video conference with local government officials to ensure that the distribution of social assistance runs smoothly.

In addition, for regional heads who are not clear about the distribution of social assistance, they can directly submit questions during the video conference. In Malang City, video conference held in the hall of the Malang City Police Headquarters, Tuesday (29/01/2019).

Malang City Police Chief AKBP Asfuri, SIK and staff also attended the event. Meanwhile, from the Malang City Government, it was attended by the Malang City Regional Secretary Drs. Wasto, SH, MH along with representatives from related Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). Later, in Malang City, a Social Assistance Task Force will also be formed which will be led by the Malang City Police Chief.

"We are waiting for further news regarding the formation of the Social Assistance Task Force, as well as regarding who or which OPDs will be involved," explained Wasto.

Wasto also welcomed the formation of the Social Assistance Task Force. According to him, with the existence of the Social Assistance Task Force, the distribution of social assistance will be more effective and distributed properly.

"We will fully support the work program of the Social Assistance Task Force so that the distribution of social assistance is right on target," he said. (say/yon)
