Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – For residents, organizations, students or communities who want to hold an event but are constrained by costs, they can use the facilities of the Gajayana Arts Building located on Jl. Nusakambangan Kasin, Klojen District, Malang City.
The building under the same roof as the Indonesian Music Museum is very suitable for various student and college activities, such as music performances or competitions. The Gajayana Arts Building is rented at a very affordable price.
For social events, the building which can accommodate 500-800 or more is rented for Rp150 thousand per day, for arts activities Rp300 thousand, and for wedding events Rp400 thousand.
This was confirmed by the Head of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si. "Every month, this building is never empty of various events, and the number reaches dozens," she said, Wednesday (06/02/2019).
Ida said that the rental price of the building, which is also rented to the public, was indeed made cheap. "This building belongs to the government, and is indeed to help the community," she explained.
Ida further said that the Gajayana Arts Building may not be as grand and its facilities are not as complete as other buildings. However, the building is one of the milestones of art history in Malang City. "If possible, this building will be renovated," he explained. (say/yon)
