Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The Population and Civil Registration Service (Dispenducapil) of Malang City is targeting a number of high schools and vocational schools in Malang City to conduct electronic ID card recording. This is a program to fulfill citizens' rights, one of which is to have population documents.

Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko while reviewing the recording of KTP-El at SMAN 10 Malang, Tuesday (19/2/2019) said that if students who are 17 years old have KTP, then they can use their voting rights in the Simultaneous Election, make a Driving License, and others.
He added that in just a matter of minutes, these students can have an identity card. "This e-KTP must be owned by every citizen as a population document that has many benefits. For students to have this e-KTP, they only need to bring a photocopy of their birth certificate and family card," he added.
A number of schools, explained the bespectacled man, will continue to be targeted by the Malang City Population and Civil Registry Office so that later the needs of students who are 17 years old and are required to have an ID card can be met.
Furthermore, the man who is often called Bung Edi said that his party really appreciates the synergy between the two agencies (Education Office and Dispendukcapil) so that it also makes it easier for residents to have an e-KTP.
"This kind of outreach program is very good. Therefore, it must be supported by all parties, especially school elements," he added.
Meanwhile, Head of the Population Administration Information System Section for PIAK and Data Utilization of the Malang City Population and Civil Registry Office, Drs. Sudarmanto, MM said that his party, in addition to targeting students to make e-KTPs, also continues to socialize the importance of e-KTPs.
"Thus, they are aware and immediately make an e-KTP even though there is no recording service at school," he explained.
He revealed that a number of high schools will be visited by Malang City Population and Civil Registry Office officers so that teachers or school employees who do not yet have an e-KTP can also immediately process and have a population identity.
"For the first wave, we will visit nine schools out of about 15 schools that we have planned," concluded Sudarmanto. (say/yon)
