Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The return of Diah Anggraeni, a female migrant worker (TKW) from Jl. Laksamana Martadinata Gang 6, Malang City, Tuesday (19/2) was greeted with joy by her family. Her mother, siblings, and neighbors looked touched when welcoming Diah home.
Diah also looked happy to be able to set foot back in her hometown and immediately hugged her mother, Prapti Utami, tightly. Diah even fainted when she met Prapti Utami. Tears of joy could not be held back when everyone found out that Diah, who was able to escape from her employer in Jordan because she had worked unpaid for 12 years, was able to return home in good health.
Diah expressed her gratitude for being able to return to Malang City safely and without any shortages. She also thanked all parties who helped her so that she could return to Malang City.
"It was very difficult and winding to be able to return home to Malang City. I am very happy to be able to meet my mother and siblings again," said Diah with tears in her eyes, Tuesday (19/2).
The assistance from the Indonesian Embassy in Jordan to help her return home and ask for the rights she should have received when working for her employer for 12 years was conveyed by Diah as very good. While at the Indonesian Embassy, she also received very good treatment.
"I am grateful that I can return to Indonesia. I hope that my friends from Indonesia who are still in Jordan will experience the same fate. Hopefully they can be sent home soon," Diah hoped.
Happiness was also seen from the face of Prapti Utami, Diah's biological mother. She admitted that she was very happy to be able to meet her child who had worked abroad since 2006.
According to him, Diah's return is an extraordinary gift. "Thank you very much to all parties who have helped Diah return home," he said happily. (cah/yon)
