PDAM Anticipates Cloudy Water During High Rainfall

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – During the rainy season with high intensity like now, it usually has an impact on water quality, but this is certain not to happen in Malang City because the Malang City Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) has taken various anticipatory measures.

Acting Director of PDAM Malang City Anita Sari, SH, MH

This was conveyed by the Acting President Director of PDAM Malang City, Anita Sari, SH, MH, Friday (22/02/2019). She said that personnel at PDAM have been instructed to always be vigilant and provide good service to residents, including preventing the possibility of cloudy water during the rainy season with high intensity like now.

The water channels connecting to residents' homes have always been intensively checked to prevent various possibilities, including anticipating the presence of murky water. "The water reservoirs in Malang City also do not escape the attention of officers, so that if there is a disturbance it can be detected immediately," he added.

Furthermore, Anita said that the most vital thing, namely the supporting facilities for water distribution in Mendit, are always checked by officers, because that is the place that has the greatest potential for various disruptions. "We have checked several times this week, and thank God there were no disruptions. Hopefully this will continue to run well, even though we always have officers on standby," she continued.

If residents feel that there is a disturbance, for example there is murky water or the channel is not running smoothly, Anita appealed to residents to immediately report it to PDAM officers. "Residents can also report various disturbances through the website, namely to pdamkotamalang.com. We will try to immediately respond to all public complaints as well and as quickly as possible," he said.

Anita did not deny that the possibility of murky water could also be triggered by heavy rain with high intensity that occurred in Malang City in the past few days. However, she emphasized that she had made various efforts so that the water distributed to the community was clean, healthy and clear water. (say/yon)
