Ensure Ballot Mail Delivery, Malang City KPU Intensely Coordinates

Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Up to now, what has been received at the logistics warehouse of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Malang City are ballot papers for the East Java Provincial DPRD and the Indonesian House of Representatives, while ballot papers for the City DPRD, the Indonesian Regional Representative Council, and the presidential election ballot papers have not yet been received.

Officers from the Malang City KPU check the ballot papers that arrived at the logistics warehouse.

As previously informed, since a few days ago a number of Election logistics have begun to arrive at the Malang City KPU warehouse on Jl. Ciujung. The folding of ballot papers for the East Java DPRD and DPR RI elections has also been carried out and is targeted to be completed this week.

Kamilia informed that the number of ballot papers for the East Java DPRD and DPR RI elections currently in the Malang City KPU logistics warehouse is around 635.649 sheets, while the ballot papers for the City DPRD, DPD and Presidential Election have not yet been sent.

"Regarding this matter, we are currently continuing to communicate and coordinate intensively with the logistics division of the central KPU and East Java Province to ensure when the ballot papers will be sent," explained the Head of General Finance and Logistics of the Malang City KPU, Kamilia Cahyani, A.Md, Wednesday (27/02/2019).

Kamilia further said that her party is currently also submitting an additional 999 sheets of all types of ballots. A number of other district-city KPUs have been sent, and for Malang City they are still waiting for further news.

According to Kamilia, the ballot papers that have not been sent may have not been printed, it could also be that they have not been scheduled for Malang City and it could also be due to other factors.

Based on the logistics delivery schedule some time ago when there will be a delivery, he added, the logistics section of the central and East Java KPU always contacts the KPUD commissioner who will be the destination. "While waiting for the delivery, our staff is preparing the warehouse area so that if there will be the next delivery of ballots, it will be ready," concluded Kamilia. (say/yon)
