Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to improve services to the public, starting March 1, 2019, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has opened access to ticket reservations for all local trains via the KAI Access application with a payment method using LinkAja, which is an electronic financial service based on... quick response code (QR queues) from BUMN synergy.
This was conveyed by Public Relations Manager of Daop 8 Surabaya Suprapto when met at Kota Baru Malang Station on Friday (01/03/2019). To get this service, he said, users must do Update KAI application Access-first become the latest version. Local train ticket purchases are made from the menu Local Train in the KAI application .
"As for the period for purchasing local train tickets through KAI Access, it still follows the applicable rules for each train, namely there are trains that can be ordered D-7 (seven days before departure), and there are those that can only be done by direct purchase. (Go Show) as long as tickets are still available," added Suprapto.
The following is a list of local train names operating in the PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya area that can be purchased through the KAI Access application starting March 1, 2019:
- Commuter train for the Surabaya Pasarturi-Lamongan/vp route. (Direct Sales/Go Show)
- Commuter train for Surabaya City - Porong/pp. (Direct sales/ Go Show)
- Jenggala train, Sidoarjo-Mojokerto/vv route. (Booking H-7)
- Tumapel train, Malang – Surabaya Gubeng – Surabaya City/return route. (Booking H-7)
- Dhoho – Penataran train, Surabaya City – Kertosono – Blitar/ round trip (Booking H-7)
- Penataran – Dhoho train, Surabaya City – Malang – Blitar / round trip. (Booking H-7)
- Local Economy Train Kertosono – Surabaya City/pp. (Booking H-7)
- Local Economy Train for the Surabaya Pasar Turi – Sidoarjo route /pp (Booking H-7).
- Local Economy Train for the Sidoarjo – Bojonegoro /pp route (Booking H-7)
Please note that purchasing local train tickets through KAI Access is valid for one passenger identity only for one train connection/route on the same day.
Later, passengers who buy local train tickets at KAI Access will only need to show their original identity card according to the name on the ticket and e-Boarding Pass while doing boarding to get on the train.
Local train tickets purchased at KAI Access can only be canceled and rescheduled through the station counter. "KAI sees that public interest in local train transportation is very high. Previously, passengers still had to queue for a long time just to buy local train tickets," he explained again.
He added that currently, prospective passengers are increasingly easy to order local train tickets just by using their smartphones anywhere and anytime. It is hoped that with this ease of ordering, it can further increase the number of local train passengers in the PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya area.
"It was recorded in 2017, the number of local train passengers in the Daop 8 Surabaya area reached 5.413.358 passengers. Then in 2018, it increased by eight percent to 5.585.342 people," explained Suprapto.
Orders via KAI Access can be made by selecting the menu Local Train, he said, then select the origin station and destination station of the local train and then click the "Search Ticket" button. Next, select the local train according to the desired departure time followed by confirmation (make sure the local train schedule displayed is in accordance with the one selected in the previous stage).
“Before making a payment, make sure to read the terms and conditions page.
