In addition to the Mayor of Malang, also present at the event were the Chairman of the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of LPP RRI Mistam S.Sos, M.Si, member of Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives Dr. Hj. Nurhayati Ali Assegaf, M.Si and the Head of the Malang City Trade Service Drs. Wahyu Setianto, MM.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that the People's Market in Malang City continues to improve and will be done through central and regional government funds. The goal is for people to love traditional markets again.

"We create comfort, we eliminate the impression of being dirty and filthy in traditional markets, I even recommend that ASN shop at traditional markets," he said.

This badminton enthusiast greatly appreciates and expresses his gratitude to RRI because through the Radio Pasar RRI program, it is able to disseminate information widely. "RRI is no longer Radio Republik Indonesia but Rumah Rakyat Indonesia, meaning it belongs to the people. If it used to be a mouthpiece for the government, now it is a mouthpiece for the people," explained Sutiaji again.

Through this Radio Pasar program, the Chairman of the LPP RRI Supervisory Board, Mistam, also said that it can be a bridge of unlimited communication between the community and its leaders and people's representatives.

Radio Pasar invites people to return to shopping at traditional markets and love traditional markets. "In traditional markets we can bargain with each other and that doesn't happen in modern markets. This can be a place for longing between buyers and sellers," said Mistam.

Meanwhile, member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission XI Nurhayati Ali Assegaf said that the existence of these markets is what maintains inflation so that there is no price spike, and with the existence of radio, these markets can be monitored properly so that the public is not disadvantaged.

"I also enjoy shopping at the market. If I shop at a traditional market, most of my friends when they were in high school had parents who were market traders at the market. Therefore, I always support that shopping at a traditional market is much more beneficial than shopping at modern markets," he said.

On the sidelines of this activity, the Mayor of Malang and the Head of the Malang City Health Office Dr. dr. Asih Tri Rachmi N., MM symbolically handed over the Healthy Indonesia Card to five sub-district heads in Malang City. (Aw/EM/yon)
