Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Almost every day, the Malang City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) regulates various types of Campaign Equipment (APK) in various places that violate the rules.
In addition to disrupting the beauty of the city, various APKs that were removed were installed in the wrong place and violated the rules. This removal was forced because notification to a number of political parties had been made.
Officers from Bawaslu Malang City who were divided into several teams carried out the control of various types of APK since Wednesday (06/03/2019) morning until evening. Not only political party flags, but APK from legislative candidates who violated the rules were controlled by officers.
The Head of the Klojen Panwascam, Achmad Ikhya Ulumuddin, on the sidelines of the APK control event, revealed that this control was carried out on APKs that were nailed to trees, unlicensed APKs, APKs that were installed in prohibited public facilities and so on.
Before the clean-up was carried out, Udin explained, Bawaslu had notified the political parties concerned to immediately dismantle them themselves, but did not receive a response so officers were forced to take them down and clean them up.
According to him, APK nailed to trees is certainly prohibited, because it can damage trees. In addition, there are places that are indeed prohibited from installing APK, but in fact they are still installed and Bawaslu is forced to take action.
"Bawaslu conducts clean-up operations almost every day. And every time it is held, officers take down hundreds of APKs. On the other hand, the violation of installing APKs also disrupts the beauty of the city's layout and political parties and legislative candidates should understand that and not commit violations," continued Udin.
Later, Udin explained that officers from Bawaslu together with personnel from related agencies such as Satpol PP Malang City will continue to intensify the control of this APK. "In addition, socialization and notification to political parties participating in the election will also be intensified so that it can suppress the occurrence of violations of APK installation," concluded Udin.
