Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR) of Malang City continues to improve and patch roads that have holes due to high rainfall in the last few months. This time, officers from the DPUPR of Malang City repaired the potholes on Jalan Majapahit, Thursday (21/3/2019).

Head of DPUPR Malang City Ir. Hadi Santoso said that his party continues to strive to overcome various problems of potholes and drainage in Malang City.
"Cleaning the drainage is very important to maintain the quality of the road. Because when the drainage is closed, rainwater overflows onto the road, which can quickly damage the road," explained Soni, Hadi Santoso's nickname.
No matter how strong the asphalt is, he said, it will quickly deteriorate if it is exposed to rainwater that floods the streets every day. For that reason, DPUPR is currently very focused on ensuring that drainage can flow water smoothly.
From various findings in the field, Soni said that the clogged drainage in Malang City has various causes. He said it was not only caused by garbage, but by trash cans that caused clogged drainage.
"I hope that the people of Malang City can take good care of the environment and not litter," explained Soni. (cah/ram)
