Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji held a gathering and discussion event with the local Malang community and media personnel at the Gazebo of Malang City Hall, Wednesday (27/03/2019).
This gathering event, said the Mayor of Malang, was held to discuss various problems in the community, one of which was related to damaged roads.
"This afternoon we sit together as four elements of development in Malang City that we often call... pentahelix, namely the government, academics, society and media to resolve various problems that are considered urgent and that we must handle immediately," explained Sutiaji.
Sutiaji said that any reports received by the Malang City Government will be responded to as soon as possible, with the hope that in the future, Malang City will truly become a... smart city.
"We will always be ready to accommodate aspirations and complaints from the community through any media. Because with the voices of the residents, we become closer to the residents and find out more quickly about the problems that are happening," said Sutiaji.
According to Sutiaji, regardless of whether there are tweets from residents or not, the Malang City Government will continue to repair the road. However, the Malang City Government will continue to pay attention to existing regulations, so that when handling a problem such as a pothole, there are no procedural errors.
"Having this kind of gathering and dialogue is very important for us to be able to provide information to the public about what is actually happening, so that together we can find a solution," said Sutiaji.
The many criticisms towards him as the Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji admitted did not hurt him, because according to him, people's way of reminding is always different. It is a form of public concern for the City of Malang. "The City of Malang does not only belong to the government, but also to the community as a whole," he added.
On this occasion, Sutiaji explained clearly the problems faced by Malang City. Such as several potholes whose damage cannot be repaired due to several factors.
"There are many kinds of roads in Malang City, there are provincial roads, national roads, Malang City roads and PT KAI roads on the railroad tracks. This is what we are currently continuing to look for solutions for," said Sutiaji. (cah/hms/yon)
