UB Faculty of Animal Husbandry Students' Work Wins First Place in Unpad Business Plan Competition

One of the rapidly growing cosmetic trends is serum, a facial care product that can brighten and moisturize the face, remove dead skin cells, and clean away excess oil. makeover.

Unfortunately, facial serum products circulating in the Indonesian market are dominated by imported products that still contain synthetic chemicals.

For this reason, a group of students from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Brawijaya University (Fapet UB) consisting of Yulianto Adi Perdana (2017), M. Andika Yudha Harahap (2016), and Nandika Sekar G. (2016) created Rolly Herbs, which is a herbal serum product made from local vegetable oil, royal jelly, and tropical herbal plant extracts including candlenut oil, castor oil, almond oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, and argan oil.

Andhika explained, Thursday (28/03/2019), that royal jelly contains vitamin B complex, amino acids, and enzymes which are useful for stimulating the face so that it looks cleaner, healthier and brighter.

"Meanwhile, herbal plant extracts contain antioxidants, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory which is against free radicals on the face. In addition, argan oil contains polyphenols and sterols which have the potential to be anti-inflammatory and maintain skin moisture," he added.

Through Rolly Herbs, the group guided by Dr. Herly Evanuarini succeeded in becoming the first winner in the 2019 Al-Amanah Festival business plan competition. A national competition held by DKM Al-Amanah, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, Sunday (3/3/2019) to Tuesday (5/3/2019).

The goal of the competition is to encourage young Muslims to build businesses in the agricultural sector based on Islamic law in following the digital era like today. (UB/say/yon)
