Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji really wants to show his commitment to protecting the existence of traditional markets. According to him, traditional markets are one of the pillars of the people's economy whose existence must be maintained.

Malang Mayor Sutiaji said on Thursday (18/04/2019) that his party plans to close 15 modern markets in the near future and is planned to do so this year.
According to him, the establishment of the 15 modern markets violated the rules and were close to traditional markets. Currently, the relevant agencies are still inventorying various data before the closure.
"We cannot yet say which areas the 15 modern markets are in because we are still waiting for valid data from the relevant agencies," he explained.
Therefore, in the future, traditional markets will be stronger in their existence as well as to strengthen the people's economy. Therefore, the Malang City Government also continues to improve a number of traditional markets, especially in terms of cleanliness, provision of public facilities and community comfort so that they are comfortable when going to traditional markets.
