Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Continuing to improve the competence of managers of Savings and Loan Cooperatives (KSP) and Savings and Loan Businesses (USP) in Malang City, the Malang City Cooperative and Micro Business Service held 'Capacity Improvement for Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PK2UKM)' through training activities to improve the competence of KSP/USP managers according to SKKNI (Indonesian National Work Competency Standards) at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, Monday (22/4).
Present as a speaker at this activity was Yusup Sofyan who presented material on savings and loan management by cooperatives and compliance.
Yusup said that this activity is very important to provide education to all human resources of cooperatives in Malang City. He conveyed many things, especially related to good cooperative management in accordance with SKKNI.
"Many do not know how to manage a cooperative properly. Therefore, this activity is very important as an educational event," said Yusup, Monday (22/4).
There are at least eleven things that Yusup conveyed in his material. Among them are related to the principles of cooperative management, the strategic role of cooperatives, motivation, loan control and repayment, internal control, asset and infrastructure security, program analysis, cooperative assessment, and several other things.
"We hope that with this activity there will be no more misappropriation of cooperatives in Malang City which is very detrimental to the community," Yusup hoped.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Cooperatives and Micro Business Service of Malang City, Dra. Tri Widyani P., M.Si, when giving a speech and opening the activity, admitted that she really appreciated this activity. According to her, managers as the main key holders must receive training on how to manage cooperatives well.
"Currently in Malang City, out of 700 registered cooperatives, only about 100 are healthy. I want 50 percent of cooperatives in Malang City to be healthy and productive this year," said Yani.
He added that his party hopes that through activities like this, they can continue to advance cooperatives in Malang City. And with healthy cooperatives, in the future they will bring more benefits to Malang City and the community as a whole. (cah/yon)
